A member of the The Black Tower of Albion and an associate of the Strazockski. Arthur Chesker is a powerful Sorcerer who was involved in the Siege of Tenja in (Insert Date here.).
He is an analytical and pragmatic man who shows few emotions. He is very skilled at reading people, and uses his mystique as a sorcerer to imply that he can read minds--something that he cannot actually do.
Either the same individual or another nearly identical one is present in modern-day Vosca, suggesting that he may be immortal, an Ascendant, or multiple people operating under the same name. It may be that Arthur Chesker is a code-name used by a succession of agents. Richard Amalek may be the same, as the name re-occurs several times.
Appearance[]
Arthur stands at around 6'2, and is blonde and blue-eyed. He is described as handsome. He and his partner Richard Amalek are described as being nearly identical in appearance. Arthur looks younger because he makes so few facial expressions that he has no smile lines on his face, whereas Richard looks slightly older.
Known Abilities[]
Arthur is a supremely gifted swordsman, a powerful sorcerer possessed of Mysteries that are known only to high-ranking members of the Black Tower, and a cunning investigator. He has a wide breadth of knowledge regarding the occult and an unflappable demanor. He is also deeply unlikeable on a personal level, being condescending and insufferably cryptic.
Appearances[]
Arthur Chesker appears in Tiger's Gate, a novel set in the Tattered Realms setting set some 80 years prior to the present day of the setting. He has also appeared (relatively unchanged) in the present.
Trivia[]
-Whereas Richard Amalek's name is a reference to the ancient enemy of the Hebrews in the Torah, Arthur Chesker's surname refers to a modern combination of Chess and Checkers, hinting at the character's cunning and manipulative nature.
-Alternatively, if Jimmy Rome's hinting is to be believed, Arthur Chesker may be a subtle homage to Albert Wesker, a character from the Resident Evil series of video games, as the two characters are very simular visually, and both are manipulative, and possess unnatural powers.
